New York Hilton Midtown Garage
We recently interviewed Shaspal, an SP+ manager for the New York Hilton Midtown garage. Shaspal has worked at the company for nearly 20 years, and we recently spoke with him to discuss his experiences working with SP+ and the parking industry.
Q: How long have you been working at SP+?
A: “From the beginning of my journey with Kinney Systems in 1997 (acquired by Central Parking in 2004) up to my present position, my career at SP+ has been the most fabulous 18 years of my life. I have transitioned my job duties from being an overnight attendant to a manager at Hilton Midtown garage.”
Q: Tell us about your progression within the company, from your days as an attendant to your current role as parking manager for the New York Hilton Midtown garage?
A: “After a few years of commitment and dedication, I found myself progressing to bigger and bigger garages. My responsibilities evolved from the fundamentals I’ve learned years ago, to adding new skills that allow me to be more efficient towards my daily operations. At this point in time, I am committed to developing and enhancing my teamwork and critical observation skills.”
Q: What do you like most about working at SP+?
A: “In my opinion, the best aspect of working at SP+ is the company’s culture. I enjoy the sincere appreciation I receive from not only my seniors but also the people I work with. A heartfelt “thanks” goes a long way to improving my attitude and productivity.”
